What to expect in your session
First off, if you’ve never had a photo or video session before - It’s going to be waaaay easier and more fun than you probably expect! I will direct you and make you feel comfortable. My photos are all about the little moments there may be times where you might not notice I am there.
Location & Timing
You can choose from either an outdoor shoot an in-home session or a studio session (small fee applies)
Indoor sessions are usually morning before 11am
If outdoors generally my sessions start 1 hour before sunset so we can take advantage of the golden light or early morning before 11am.
I have some recommendations on locations but if there is somewhere special to you let me know and we can discuss.
What to wear
I recommend my clients keep it simple with something you feel yourself in. Nothing with big brand names, stripes, large patterns or bright primary colours and avoid black if possible.
It's best to keep neutral colours- think beige, taupe, gray, cream, brown, and white. or for a pop of colour pastels look nice. Think dresses, skirts or knits if that is something that is in the wardrobe and if you are going to wear jeans I recommend going for a black or a darker shade. Have a look through my photos for some inspiration.
I do have a dress in my client wardrobe that is available to mother's for maternity, family or newborn sessions. You can also hire beautiful dresses from mamarentals.com.au, everythinglace.com.au or rented style in Traralgon do have dresses for hire. Feel free to chat to me if you have any questions.
I have an arrangement of baskets and blankets I can bring along to your session, complete with a newborn bean bag which is perfect for posing baby.
Generally my turnaround time for photos is about 2-4 weeks.

Capturing the First Days: The Emotional Power of Newborn Film
As a newborn photographer and film maker, one of the most rewarding aspects of my job is being able to capture the intimate and fleeting moments of a newborn's early days. Recently, I had the privilege of filming a family's first days with their new baby and the results were truly breathtaking.
The film showcases the new parents Jessie and Mitch washing their baby Lyon in the sink, and features moments of them holding their newborn in their home. These are the types of moments that are so precious and fleeting, and it is an honor to be able to preserve them for the family to cherish for years to come.
As you watch the film, you see the way the parents' faces light up as they hold their baby and you can hear the little squeaks and sounds Lyon makes. These are the moments that words cannot adequately describe and photographs alone cannot fully capture.
While photographs are great for capturing specific moments, film adds a new dimension to the story and creates a more complete and immersive experience. The film captures the overall atmosphere and emotion of the day, and provides a window into the baby's personality and how they interact with their parents and surroundings.
In addition to photographs, adding film to your newborn photography package is a great way to preserve the memories of those first days with your new baby. The emotional power of film makes it a cherished keepsake for years to come. I highly recommend considering adding film to your newborn photography package, and I would love to be a part of preserving those special moments for your family
